PARIS, FRANCE – Luxury transatlantic travel just got a serious upgrade. Air France has officially launched its highly anticipated, redesigned La Première (First Class) suites on flights operating between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Starting September 27, 2025, the new, exclusive cabin is now available on a daily flight, making LAX only the second U.S. gateway—after New York (JFK)—to feature the airline’s cutting-edge first-class product.
A True Private Apartment in the Sky
The new La Première cabin, available on a select number of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, is less a seat and more a miniature luxury apartment. Each suite is one of only four in the cabin, promising maximum privacy and highly personalised service.
- Modular Living Space: The standout feature is the unique, modular design, which includes an ergonomically designed armchair and a chaise longue. At night, the chaise longue and seat combine to convert into a fully flat bed that is two meters (over six and a half feet) long.
- A Room with a View: Setting a new industry standard, each side suite extends over five windows, flooding the private space with natural light and offering an unparalleled view from 30,000 feet.
- Total Privacy: The suites are fully enclosed by thick, floor-to-ceiling curtains, allowing passengers to create a cozy, completely secluded environment for work, relaxation, or sleep.
Five-Star Experience, On the Ground and In the Air
Air France has matched the exceptional onboard product with an equally luxurious ground experience for its LAX customers.
- Dedicated Airport Service: La Première guests at LAX now have a dedicated check-in area and receive a personal escort through priority security.
- Tarmac Transfer: In a signature touch, passengers are then transferred directly across the tarmac to their aircraft in a private, high-end car (such as a Porsche Cayenne Hybrid).
- Gourmet Dining: Onboard, the fine dining menu is crafted by Michelin-starred French chefs, elevating the meal service to the level of a world-class restaurant.
The airline plans to gradually roll out the new suites to all its La Première destinations, including Washington Dulles, San Francisco, and Miami, by 2026.
Conclusion
Air France’s commitment to redefining premium travel is clearly visible in the new La Première suite. By prioritizing privacy, space, and world-class service, the airline has raised the bar for first class, ensuring the journey between Los Angeles and Paris is as luxurious and comfortable as possible. This move positions Air France strongly in the highly competitive luxury travel market and provides elite travelers with a truly unforgettable experience.
